And so it starts.

I have decided to try to get away from blogging on MySpace. I also want to try to blog more often and post more pictures!

I think that the best thing is to use this first entry to introduce myself. My name is Christina, in case you haven't already figured that out! LOL I am the loving mother of 2 beautiful children. My daughter Stacey is 4 and my son Brandon is 2. So needless to say life gets pretty interesting at times. I have also been happily married to my wonderful husband for almost 6 years now. It is really amazing how time seems to fly by.

I am an aspiring photographer. I have always loved taking pictures, from the time I was about 6 years old playing with an old 110mm camera. But I have never really looked into doing anything with it until I got my digital camera in 2006 and started playing with photoshop.

I have since realized that this is my passion, I wake up in the morning, wake my kids up and even while I'm getting them ready for the day, I'm thinking about the last pictures I uploaded to my computer, or what shots I'm going to get next.

My wishlist for the holidays (and my birthday) is all photography related. I can't imagine doing anything else for the rest of my life.

I can't really say "the things I love to do when I'm not taking pictures" because the things I love go along with my photography. I love spending time with my family, I love taking my kids to the park, to the zoo. And whenever we go anywhere I have my camera with me. Right now I am just an amature, but I strive to be a better photographer.

Someone asked me what draws me to photography, this is my answer.

A photograph is a moment in time captured forever, a memory never to be forgotten. Great photographs are everywhere. Displayed in peoples homes and offices, in magazines. Shared with family and friends. People want great photos of their kids, grandkids, entire family, pictures of special events, weddings, birthdays, graduations.

A father goes through the pictures of his daughter before her wedding, from birth to engagement. seeing her grow-up again before his eyes. A grandmother proudly shows off pictures of the newest grand-baby. A wedding picture is on display at a couple's 50th wedding anniversary.

Just being able to capture these memories, to take the pictures that people will be showing off for years to come, the pictures that will hang on their walls. The pictures that will make them smile and laugh, or will bring a tear to the eye.

I have always been in awe of what professional photographers can do. I want to learn everything I can about photography, I aspire to be the best I can. I want to be able to take the pictures that take your breath away.
